Flatwater Excursion

Similar to our Flatwater Challenges, the Excursions require paddlers to stay focused as they face the mental hurdles that come with a long-distance paddle. The Excursions are a two-day endurance stand up paddle board events that take place in remote locations across the United States.

A two-day challenge. remote destination. All to raise critical funds.

Flatwater Excursions are a two-day endurance stand up paddle challenge in a remote location across the United States. The series kicked off at Lake Dunmore in 2022, raising over $127,000 and facilitating more than 1,200 sessions of therapy. Each destination is chosen against two criteria: it has to be physically and mentally challenging, and it has to be remote.

In 2024, that search led to Lake Powell, where paddlers completed 40 miles over two days and raised more than $160,000 for our mission.

What’s included?

Food, lodging, local guides and SUP equipment are included as part of the experience.

Participants will be responsible for airline tickets to and from the destination, food for travel days, gear and personal supplies in addition to meeting their minimum fundraising goal of $6,500 by the start of the Excursion.

The next destination hasn't been announced yet — but it will be remote, it will be hard, and it will fund real therapy for Central Texans facing cancer. Be the first to know when applications open.
