FLATWATER STAFF
Chelsea Hardee
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Born and raised in San Luis Obispo, California, Chelsea attended UCLA on a track & field scholarship where she was 2x NCAA pole vault champion. Chelsea pole vaulted professionally for 5 years post-collegiately and most notably won a silver medal at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Germany. Chelsea now lives in Austin with her husband, Trey and children, Frankie, Penelope and Miles. Chelsea brings an extensive professional background in the world of event production and mental health awareness through sport.
BECKY MORALES
Chief Mission Officer
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Becky is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Council-Approved Supervisor (LCSW-S). She has extensive experience in both direct service and administrative roles since becoming a social worker in 2003, and has focused her work in the areas of mental health, oncology, chronic illness and disability, and intimate partner violence. Becky is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, and the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. Outside of work, Becky enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Ringo.
CHIARA MOORE
CHIEF MARKETING & EVENTS OFFICER
Chiara is a born (and mostly) raised New Yorker turned Austinite, who has spent her career developing multi-channel, 360 degree marketing campaigns for international brands, working alongside some of the most exceptional creative minds in the industry. She previously co-founded a highly successful, award-winning, full-service marketing agency based in NYC and Austin, TX. After running the agency for 7 years, she transitioned to in-house, leading Partnerships for local Austin startup Spot Insurance. When she’s not working you can find Chiara running marathons (all 7 continents), triathlons, paddle boarding or snowboarding alongside her husband Aaron, two daughters Aspen and Piper and lovable pup, Tuck.
Alexander Noren
Chief Financial Officer
Alexander excelled at the United States Military Academy at West Point before transferring to Brigham Young University, where he earned a BS degree in Accounting. He then obtained his CPA license and pursued a Masters in Information System Management from Harvard University. With experience in supporting nonprofit financial processes at various organizations, including PwC, Alexander established White Lotus to assist smaller nonprofits deeply rooted in their local communities. He finds great fulfillment in collaborating with like-minded individuals driven by their purpose. Additionally, Alexander enjoys spending time with his wife, Haley, and their four boys, engaging in activities such as wrestling, racing, and video gaming.
Brittany Morrison
Chief Development Officer
Brittany, a native Austinite, has a strong sales and business development background, excelling at building connections and fostering collaboration. Her passion for philanthropy drives her fundraising efforts for the community.
She has held various leadership roles, including on the Board of the Real Estate Council of Austin and the Advisory Board for I Live Here I Give Here, and has received the Austin Under 40 award and the "Big Giver" award. Currently, she serves on the Fund Board for Hospice Austin, helping raise over $2.5 million for essential services.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys outdoor activities with her daughter Beckett and golden retriever Wally, including walks at Lady Bird Lake and lunches at Clark's.
D0lores Laparte-Litton
BILINGUAL CARE COORDINATOR
Dolores was born and raised in Mexico. She has lived in Austin, Texas since 1994, where she began her career with the Austin Police Department as Victim Services Counselor. She retired from APD as a Victim Services Supervisor after 25 years of service. She completed her Master in Counseling Program at St. Edward's University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Approved Supervisor (LPC-S). Dolores has vast experience providing mental health and crisis intervention for those who have experienced traumatic events, major life changes, and loss. Dolores enjoys hiking, hunting for vintage items, and spending time with family and friends.
MARK GARZA
FOUNDER
Mark is the Founder of Flatwater. He is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island where he studied Business and Modern American History. The Austin, TX native is happy to be back in his hometown with his wife, Jesica and children, Christian and Molly.
GLOBAL AMBASSADORS
In addition to providing access to mental health support for families and individuals affected by cancer, Flatwater also focuses on breaking the stigma associated with asking for and receiving mental health support. Our Global Ambassadors play a large part in actively working to achieve this by speaking on behalf of the organization, attending events and living their lives by example.
