Flatwater is proud to host the Mama Betty’s Golf Classic alongside Jason Carrier and Mama Betty’s Tex-Mex. Each year, this tournament brings together golfers, sponsors, and community supporters to raise money for our mission.

Since 2018, Jason Carrier, founder of Mama Betty's Tex-Mex Cantina, and Jessica Lombardi have brought our community together through the Mama Betty's Golf Classic (MBGC) - a day of golf, connection, and giving in support of Flatwater’s mission.
What began as a single tournament has grown into an annual tradition filled with fun, connection, and purpose at every hole. Together, the Mama Betty’s Golf Classic community has raised more than $275k helping make 2,600 therapy sessions possible for those impacted by cancer in our Central Texas community.
For some, the golf course offers a sense of calm and clarity - a place that represents their own “flatwater”. Through this tournament, our community helps others find that same sense of support, hope, and steadiness during one of life’s most difficult seasons.

2026 Mama Betty’s Golf Classic Benefiting Flatwater
We’re so grateful for everyone who made the 2026 Mama Betty’s Golf Classic benefiting Flatwater possible. This year’s tournament was another incredibly special day. Together, we nearly raised $50,000 - the equivalent of funding more than 475 mental health therapy sessions for Central Texans impacted by cancer.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2025 Mama Betty's Golf Classic Benefiting Flatwater. This year marked our largest tournament to date, with 164 golfers, 45 teams, 27 hole sponsors, and donations from generous companies throughout Austin and nationwide.
