Services Offered

Flatwater has created a network of licensed psychotherapists (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD, and others) that have been vetted to meet Flatwater standards and specialize in trauma and cancer related stressors.

Psychotherapy (also called talk therapy) refers to a variety of approaches that aim to help a person identify and navigate troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Most psychotherapy takes place one-on-one with a licensed mental health professional or with other individuals in a group setting.

In an effort to touch more lives and further expand the supportive services that Flatwater provides, we also support family and individual Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) sessions. These sessions offer the opportunity for healing in an alternative format than traditional “talk” therapy. EAP is considered an experiential (learn by doing) type of therapy where insights are discovered in real time while engaging with a horse.
