Flatwater’s Dam That Cancer Presented by TYLER’S is the premier fundraising event for Flatwater.

On June 30, 2025, we came together for our 16th annual Dam That Cancer Presented by TYLER’s on for a 21-mile stand-up paddle + party event. Each year we select a crew of 230 paddlers - each one handpicked from a list of hundreds of applicants. Past participants have included Olympic medalists such as Kristine Lilly, Aaron Peirsol, Trey Hardee, Eric Shanteau, and Brendan Hansen, as well as three-time Stanley Cup champion Chris Chelios, and influential Austin business owners, C-level executives, and cancer survivors. The common thread among all participants is to provide a ray of hope for people affected by cancer through the services of Flatwater.
The demand for therapy is greater than ever, and this year we raised a record-breaking $1.53M for Flatwater. Every dollar raised goes directly towards providing access to free mental health therapy to individuals and families facing the emotional toll of cancer. The impact is real - thousands of therapy sessions delivered at no cost to those who need them most.
After the 10-hour, 21-mile paddle, the celebration continues at the DTC Post-Paddle Party - and all of Austin is invited!
