On September 16th, Lake Austin provided the stunning backdrop for the 15th annual 21-mile stand-up paddle + party event. This year’s crew of 230 paddlers were incredible – each one handpicked from a list of hundreds of applicants. Past participants have included Olympic medalists such as Kristine Lilly, Aaron Peirsol, Trey Hardee, Eric Shanteau, and Brendan Hansen, as well as three-time Stanley Cup champion Chris Chelios, and influential Austin business owners, C-level executives, and cancer survivors. The common thread among all participants was to provide a ray of hope for people affected by cancer through the services of Flatwater.
